TSG Hoffenheim German striker punished by DFB

DFB sport court doesn't think a red card is enough punishment for Wagner.


Sandro Wagner is banned by the DFB sports court for two games after his red card on Saturday game againts Leipzig. In addition he has to pay 10,000 euros fine.

According to Sport1, Hans E. Lorenz, chairman of the sports court, said:

Sandro Wagner has been punished for his misbehavior. By the way he apologized his opponent and the referee after the match on the pitch.

Wagner sent off in the 60th minute after an overwhelming foul on  RBL Stefan Ilsanker by referee Wolfgang Stark. The 29-year-old striker briefly revealed his remorse:

I apologized to my team and the opponent, I'm sorry.

Julian Nagelsmann’s best goalscorer with 10 goals in this season,will missing this weekend match against FSV Mainz 05 and the following away game in Wolfsburg.
