On December 10, 2015, Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker experienced the worst injury in his career. The defensive player of the FC Augsburg suffered by a foul in the left ankle against Partizan Belgrade (3:1) and is missing football for exactly one year. But now he is on a good path to the comeback.
"I am in the running training and make good progress," says Callsen-Bracker in an interview with the kicker. " I think it is very stable, I feel great and am physically fit, everything is going according to plan. I want to come back as soon as possible. " 32 years old central defender continued.
"The weeks in the beginning of January are decisive, then we decide in the short term. It would make sense if I can go to the team training" explains Former Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach player. He did not lose his optimism, despite the long pause: "I know I'm coming back, and I'll come back stronger."
